Earlier this month, the State Supreme Court returned the Pennsylvania voter supression case to the Commonwealth Court, among other reasons, because there is great doubt over the voter i.d. card program. The Pennsylvania Republican politicians admittedly put the voter supression law in place in an attempt to win the Presidency. As is now becomming obvious to the Supreme Court and Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson, the judge before the whom the case is now pending, the voter i.d. card program will do nothing to prevent voter supression, and the law will continue to disenfranchise voters shamelessly targed by the Republican politicians. Among other problems, the rules and requirements of the voter i.d program are too costly, onerous and time consuming for the Pennsylvians who are presently not permitted to vote. Should Judge Simpson reach this conclusion, which is generally accepted by experts across the U.S., then this unfair, divisive law will be enjoined before the Presidential election in November.
